Somerset move to professional level with ts Venue and ts Marketing
ts.com announced today that Somerset County Cricket Club have selected ts Venue to handle all their ticketing requirements at the County Ground, Taunton. The contract was signed following a detailed competitive bidding process against two other solutions; with ts Venue selected as the clear winner.
Guy Wolfenden, Commercial Manager at Somerset explains what the system upgrade will mean to the club, “We are looking forward to providing an improved ticketing service to our members and supporters, and believe that this takes us forward into the coming seasons in a far more professional manner, complementing the ground redevelopment that we are undertaking at the County Ground with significantly upgraded facilities and ground capacity”.
Guy adds, “The other important benefit is that ts Venue and ts Marketing offers us is a closed-loop ticketing and CRM solution, rather than running two separate systems. This will allow us to improve our targeted communications to our supporters and members enabling us to communicate on a more one-to-one basis and also measure the effectives of these marketing campaigns”.
ts Venue will bring the club other advantages including allowing individuals to purchase seats by seat number, speeding up ground entry and improving security by using hand held scanners and bar coded tickets.

In addition to county, women’s international and 20:20 cricket tickets, Somerset also plan to sell non-cricket tickets through ts Venue, such as season and daily car parking on non-match days and tickets to summer concerts.
