Based in Oxford in the UK, ts.com Limited was founded in 1999 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Community Internet Europe Limited, a privately held company whose shareholders include Quester Capital, Barclays Ventures and GZ Paul Capital.
Purpose of Job
Primarily to win new, key account business from carefully selected new prospects. There will be some account management duties building valuable long term relationships with existing customers.
Reporting To
This position reports to the Managing Director, who currently undertakes the role of Sales and Marketing Director.
Location
Modern offices in Kidlington, Oxfordshire – with the ability to also work from home.
Principal Responsibilities
•Meet or exceed assigned business quota in the territory with emphasis on closing contracts.
•Lead the sales effort to achieve assigned revenue quota on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
•Build a demonstrable pipeline from scratch, and as key component of this, be a diligent prospector including making cold calls to target suspects.
•Effectively educate suspects, prospects, customers and partners on the return on investment derived from the use of ts.com products and services.
•Responsible for probing, developing, and articulating the compelling value proposition to prospective and current users.
•Gather data from prospect or customer to properly qualify business potential to produce reliable business forecasts and contracts.
•Is effective in all verbal and written communication methods, especially in utilizing the telephone, email, and other electronic means. Capable of preparing and presenting high quality business letters, proposals and presentations.
•Maintain solid, business benefit understanding of Company products, customers and competitive offerings.
•Develop and maintain relationships at all levels within customer and prospect enterprise accounts. Able to work through complex committee processes, influence multiple decision makers, and navigate through political environments.
•Quote pricing and contractual arrangements accurately. Obtains all necessary management approvals for non-standard pricing and contract proposals.
•Proactively identify and address business questions demonstrating meticulous follow-up responsiveness to customers and internal staff.
•Strong closure of contracts and effective problem solver to remove obstacles in a sales cycle.
•Maintains timely, accurate and reliable records of conversations, meetings, and other contact with accounts via the Company electronic sales force automation system.
•May represent Company at regional user meetings, trade shows and seminars through attendance and participation.
•Any other duties that may be reasonably required for the role.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable solution sales background and record of achievement in new business sales. This role will interest to candidates who are in the early part of their sales careers and are looking for greater responsibility, success and the commensurate rewards.
We require articulate personable candidate, with high energy levels, coupled with enthusiasm and passion, the ideal candidate will have:
•Degree educated or equivalent qualification.
•Good PC skills across all major office and personal productivity applications.
•Experience in selling IT software solutions in a B2B marketplace.
•Proven ability to achieve targets by closing new business on a consistent basis.
•Basic knowledge of ASP delivered software products and services.
•Basic knowledge of the business of sports, entertainment or travel businesses and preferably of ticketing, sales and marketing.
•Ability to work on own initiative to set and meet targets and timescales.
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills to communicate with prospects, customers, co-workers and other members of staff.
•Strong presentation skills and ability negotiate at Board level.
•Management and leadership skills, with a positive attitude and the ability to motivate self & others in a close working professional environment to deliver effective solutions.
•Ability to be in front of prospects and customers for a majority of their working week. Specifically, alone and with other ts.com staff and management on a weekly basis, to qualify the prospect and triangulate information.
Package
•Basic salary in the range £35,000, with an OTE of £70,000 which is uncapped.
•A car allowance of £500 per month, business mileage and expenses,
•Mobile phone and home office broadband connections will be provided.
•Benefits package includes 25 days annual holiday.
